Insert iSlides into a slide
Select the slide where you will insert iSlides.
In PowerPoint’s ribbon select “Home” and then “Add-ins”.
- In some versions of PowerPoint, the “Add-ins” button appears within the “Insert” menu.
If it is the first time you insert iSlides:
- Select “More Add-ins”.
- Select “Store” and write “iSlides” into the search field.
- Press the “Add” button; then, press the “Continue” button to accept license terms and privacy policy.
If you have inserted iSlides before:
- “iSlides” will appear directly in the “My Add-ins” option.
The iSlides window will be inserted into the slide.
You can resize the iSlides window within the slide.
- For a better visualization of iSlides, it is recommended resizing the window to fill de whole of the slide.
Login to iSlides
Press the “Login” button to open the login window.
Write your email, your password, and press the “Login” button.
- If it is the first time you use iSlides, select “No account? Sign up”, write your email, a password, and press the “Create account” button.
- If you don’t remember your password, select “Forgot your password?”, write your email and press the “Send password reset email” button. Then check the inbox of your email and follow the instructions to create a new password.
After logging in, your name, email, and picture of your profile (in case it exists) will appear on the iSlides menu.
Regarding the Login, keep in mind that:
- The iSlides session is activated at the PowerPoint level, that is, when you Login to one slide with iSlides, you will also be starting session in all other slides with iSlides in the current presentation and in other open presentations.
- When PowerPoint closes, your session will remain active. Therefore, when you open again PowerPoint, your iSlides session will start automatically.
- To prevent the iSlides session from starting automatically when opening PowerPoint, open the iSlides menu, on any slide that has an iSlides inserted, and press the “Logout” button.
Select an interactive diagram
Select an interactive diagram directly in the iSlides window inserted into the slide.
The window will load the selected interactive diagram.
Regarding the selection of interactive diagram, keep in consideration:
- You will not be able to return to the interactive diagram selection menu.
- If you want to change the interactive diagram, you must erase the previously inserted iSlide (in the same way that any object is deleted within a slide) and then insert again the iSlides from PowerPoint “Insert” tab.

You may edit its content in the iSlides window within the slide, in editing view.

The interactive diagram remains editable in slide show mode.
Allow your audience to participate during the presentation
Participation functionalities are available in slide show mode.

Keep in mind that…
- The changes made in the interactive diagrams are saved in the PowerPoint file (.pptx).
- You can Login, or Logout, in both design and slide show modes.
- If you have not logged in to iSlides, you can see the diagram and its contents, but you cannot interact with it.
- You can copy slides with inserted iSlides, both within and between presentations.
